STUDIO SQUARE

Written by Sarah Ritchie on July 27, 2011 in wedding venue - No comments

Last month, I was introduced to Studio Square, as I officiated the wedding of the lovely Lisa & Brett.  It is a striking loft space in Long Island City–a perfect choice for those looking for fantastic views of Manhattan, an open roof top for the ceremony and cocktails and a wide open area that can function as a canvass for any dinner and reception imaginable.  For more details, read on:

With 7,500 square feet and a skyline view of Manhattan, Studio Square is the perfect venue  to complete any bride’s dream wedding in New York City. With seven exceptional spaces, this event destination has the versatility of accommodating anywhere from 50 to 2000 people. Aside from accommodating a range of guests, Studio Square has designed each of its spaces in a fashion that allows each event the possibility to be styled as uniquely as the client would like. The space itself is not all that creates the wedding of your dreams, but the service is promised to be exemplary as well. Studio Square goes above and beyond to ensure that from the beginning of your event to the end each guest will receive the personal attention they deserve. It is their vow that each guest leaves happily, having enjoyed their time there to the highest degree.

Studio Square provides an in-house caterer with a menu of options noted for being absolutely delicious, an event manager to oversee and assure everything runs smoothly, a coat check, a restroom attendant, an elevator attendant, and also bar staff. Valet parking is highly recommended as street parking is limited in the area. This non-smoking, air conditioned venue provides what they describe as a “soft hold,” to provide clients a grace period for deciding on the date of their event. This hold will only be held for a period of 10 days, and is considered “soft,” because if a second inquirer for the same date contacts the studio, the first inquirer has 24 hours to make a final decision as to whether or not they will take the space. No space will be “held” for longer than 10 days. So, brides, get the event spaces while they are hot! Once you’ve chosen your date, the studio requires a signed contract as well as a deposit for 1/3 of whatever your contract value may be. Each contract is specific to each client, organizing the payment timeline and due dates.

From the open-air rooftop space to the intimate executive sweet, Studio Square meets all requirements when it comes to a New York City event venue. When it comes to choosing a location, S2 provides little reason to choose anywhere else. With a top-notch view, outstanding service, and excellent dining, there is little room for complaints. Their website provides explicit details about each of their event spaces, certain amenities, and any facts or questions that may be of concern. It will be worth your while to check out what Studio Square has to offer for you and the wedding of your dreams!

On September 20th, 2010, more than 900 guests attended an Ultimat Vodka/Maxim Magazine Party at Studio Square.  The attendees were treated to custom cocktails created by Patron’s resident mixologist, delicious passed hors’douerves from Studio Square’s in-house caterer, Sterling Affair and partied the night away at Top of the Square, Studio Square’s 8,000 sq. ft. open-air roof deck.

With the Manhattan skyline as the back drop and a custom bar made entirely of ice, the guests, who were made up of the major players in the New York nightlife scene had a great time.
